Year 6 Leaders

All students have the opportunity to represent their class in the Student Representative Council (SRC). Year 6 students participate in a student leadership program to develop skills in collaboration, decision-making, communication and project management.

Leadership students take on responsibilities to enrich our school community, such as:

  • SRC Executive
  • Park Rangers
  • Sustainability projects
  • Student well-being initiatives
  • Sports captains.

Other Year 6 students develop their leadership skills through supporting Junior Primary classes, assisting with resource centre management, assisting in administration or working in the kitchen garden program.  They further develop their independence through added responsibilities and cooperation.

Other Leadership Roles

Choir leaders can take on the responsibility of leading aspects of the choir.

Sound room technicians learn skills in managing assembly technology eg projectors, microphones, presentations.

Our School Photographer is responsible for photographing all award recipients and various other photos as needed.

Several students have regular visits to Resthaven retirement village.

Each class elects 2 SRC representatives that lead their class discussion around student concerns, representing them at whole school meetings.

Flag monitors raise and lower our flags each day.

Chicken monitors collect eggs every day and ensure the chickens are happy.
